1. What kind of services do you provide?
CarePlus provides various services across Ghana to families just like yours. A full list of services is available on our ‘What We Do’ page. To learn how we might be able to help your family specifically, do not hesitate to contact us. We'll administer a personal assessment and develop a custom plan of care and risk assessment based on your needs.
2. What kind of home care services do you provide?

Your care and support worker can help in many ways, providing assistance, reassurance and encouragement. They are there to support you with the challenges of everyday life such as practical support with light domestic duties, shopping and cleaning, but will also provide companionship and friendship for you.
We recognise that there may be a need for more personal support and therefore they can help you with daily routines such as washing and getting ready in the morning. We provide more complex care following an illness, hospital discharge or long-term care, and specialist support for mental health conditions.
By taking a person centred approach to care and understanding the needs of those we support, we are able to offer solutions which give peace of mind and reassurance to everyone.

3. Where do you provide services?

However if you have an urgent case of needing any of our services in regions not yet in our coverage area, we will be willing to help in the best possible way we can. Just talk to us.
4. How often can I have help at home or in the community?

5. Do you provide services to those in Hospitals and treatment Centres?
Absolutely! CarePlus Ghana provides care and companionship to many people who require additional attention and/or personalised long term care who are in hospitals.
6. I'm concerned about my relative's safety at home alone, but I'm not sure she would agree to have help. What can I do to introduce the idea, while considering her sensitivities?
It's not uncommon for people, who have been living independently, to be wary of accepting help. Often they think it signals a loss of independence, or they fear they won't personally like the person helping them. We've found that the key to working through these concerns is establishing a strong rapport right from the start. A great way to work through your relative's concern is to arrange for one of our staff to come out and meet with you both to discuss the kind of assistance we can offer and our approach to finding a great match.
7. How is the privacy of my personal information maintained?
We adhere to all applicable laws and guidelines related to privacy of personal and healthcare information. This starts once we have a formal services agreement, before a worker even comes to your home or family member's home. The written service agreement stipulates the exact restrictions on the use of your information, which clarifies that even unauthorised individuals will not be given access to information without a client's – or legally authorised representative's – formal consent. Your information is never sold to a third party under any circumstances. In fact, only the office personnel and workers who are directly involved in your services will have access to clients' information on a need- to-know basis.
8. Are your Care and support workers screened and insured?
Absolutely! Every Caregiver is employed by CarePlus Ghana. To help ensure the safety of our clients and the quality of care, we perform a criminal background check, professional and character references.
9. Do you accompany clients to Healthcare Appointments?
Yes, but purely on the invitation of the client or if identified as an assessed need. We will keep a record of all your appointments, test results, BP/temperature results, and advice given at the appointment to ensure that we work in partnership with all health professionals.
10. Is CarePlus Ghana a cleaning company or maid service?
No, our Care and support workers have specialised training and experience, and they focus on assisting individuals who require additional attention and care. However, our care and support workers can provide light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation as part of their duties and when stated in a care or support package.
11. What happens if my care or support worker gets sick or is not able to come?
CarePlus Ghana counts on a vast network of professionals who work as a team, so if an employee is unavailable, we make every effort to provide you with another suitable team member to meet your needs.
12. What makes CarePlus Ghana different from other companies?
CarePlus Ghana has a culture of utmost sensitivity and respect for our clients. Our Care and support workers are trained and oriented to the CarePlus Ghana philosophy. 13. Will I have a choice of who comes to my home?
Certainly! We encourage clients to be involved in the decision-making process. And we will do our best to match you and your family with the right staff. If you are not satisfied we are not satisfied. We will try to accommodate any requests you may have for a change in Care and support workers.
14. Will I always receive support from the same Worker?
Our goal is to establish a long-term relationship between the worker and the client. Should you desire to request another worker for any reason, we'll search for a match until you are pleased. We understand that a strong relationship and confidence with a worker is crucial to a successful home and family care experience. If you receive our services for many hours in a day or at different times of the day throughout the week, it may be necessary to schedule more than one worker in a given week. If your family requires multiple Care or support workers, our goal is the same: we want you to be satisfied and happy. We'll do what it takes to make sure we achieve that goal.
15. Can CarePlus Ghana help with medications?
We can help in reminding and observing individuals to take their medications. We can also report any side effects and assist with pre-measured medication packages.
16. Can I change or discontinue the services I receive?

We understand that life is dynamic and situations can quickly change, so we are as flexible as possible with your care.

Several factors help determine the exact cost: • Number of hours of care per week • Level of home care services received (elderly care, special needs, Alzheimer's, housekeeping etc.) • Location where services are provided To discuss the exact rates for the services you may need, contact us.
