Getting Out of Bed

With our help, clients are protected from injury. Proper use of body mechanics will reduce stress and strain on body structures. This increases safety for the caregiver and client alike. Bathing or Showering Assistance

 

During hygienic care, the caregiver incorporates other activities such as communication, physical assessment, skin and wound care, assessment of self-care abilities, and range of motion exercises. The caregiver provides hygienic care based on the client’s needs and preferences, with much consideration given to cultural and developmental factors.

Dental hygiene includes the brushing and flossing of teeth as well as care of the mouth, gums and lips. Dental hygiene is an important practice in which proper habits maintain health of the mouth, teeth, gums and lips, enhances comfort, stimulates appetite and contributes to overall health.
